I was one of those begging for the original recipe back. It’s pretty close; the taste is the same but the texture isn’t. The “sauce” is looser and the burger a bit chewier, but it is fairly close.
First time I've used this. I made a yummy chick'n salad. I wish wish wish this was available locally.
Having experienced the Loma Linda Tuno canned fish analog, I expected a solid chunk texture and mild, neutral flavor with this Unmeat - and got both. Tuna style flakes are soft but not too soft, providing a light chew. I added Dijon mustard, Old Bay, celery seed and a light, tangy mayo for a basic tuna salad. Having found it difficult to access Tuno locally for several years, this is a great sub.
YES YES! Another one I remember from long ago when I first went vegan in the early 70's! Still yummy and if one can overlook they come in a can? They are perfect! Made veggie filled franks sammiches with them, lots of veggies, some mustard and spices...INCREDIBLE!
Yep! Just as I remember them from long ago. Bought these when I was a new vegan in the 70's! My husband even liked them too! Great flavor, vegan and easy peasy to fix!
What a delicious addition to our meal! Great flavor and texture and with the gravy it went well with potatoes!
