Yum!

I have always liked the Prime Stakes, we have a couple cans with some kind of potato (baked, hash brown or tater tots) and a vegetable. A nice filling dinner for a Saturday afternoon.

Decent Taste and Long Shelf Life, But Pricey

As a vegetarian, I recently decided to try the Loma Linda Plant-Based Meat Substitutes (40 oz) (Prime Stakes, 3 pack). My experience with this product has been mixed. The taste is okay—not as flavorful as Impossible Meat or Beyond Meat, but still satisfactory. It serves as a decent meat substitute, though it doesn't quite reach the same level of meat-like texture and flavor that other plant-based options offer. The price per patty is on the expensive side. Given the current state of hyperinflation, this isn't entirely surprising, but it does make the product less appealing when compared to other options on the market.Packaging and Shelf Life: One standout feature is that these patties come in a can. This makes them a reliable option for long-term storage. In the event of a power outage or if the grid goes down, having these canned patties on hand could be very useful. They offer a level of convenience and security that fresh or frozen alternatives can't match. In summary, the Loma Linda Plant-Based Meat Substitutes are a decent choice for vegetarians looking for a canned meat alternative. While the taste is not as impressive as other plant-based meats and the price is a bit high, the long shelf life and practicality of canned packaging offer significant advantages. These patties could be a valuable addition to your pantry, especially for emergency situations.

Good, meaty, tasty.

Good size, texture, and flavor. The gravy they’re in is tasty. Easy to prepare, and filling. I will buy again.
